He's not Devin Hester in his prime, but he's still a competent return guy who can catch some balls from the QB in a pinch. A solid re-signing.

Good...Not flashy, or scores many TD returns, but he's about as safe as you can get on ST's.

Nice. I'd prefer somebody more dynamic returning punts, but I'll take safe and steady for now.

For his limited role, he did well. A good KR and can catch in a pinch.

There's definitely some significant attention being paid to Special Teams. Seems like every one of these FAs we're signing has mid-range talent on O and D, but very solid ST credentials.

I like Brandon Tate.

I liked him way back in NE.

Hugely athletic but just can't seem to realize his potential.

As a returner, no problem resigning him.

As long as he doesn't fumble, I like him.

I'm glad BUF re-inked him. He's a good guy, and here in Cincy, fans wished him well when he left.

Truth be told, he was a victim of Coach-for-Life Lewis' peculiarities...there was ample opportunities to use Tate as a receiver, but that's how His Highness rolls.

BUF's staff should explore that.

For all that Lal was supposedly a good WRs coach, we generally didn't seem to want to use many guys out there - and I don't think all the blame lies with Taylor. Appears as though some of the guys were simply labelled 'STs' and couldn't get a look in, even though we were struggling with injuries at the position.

I don't recall Tate letting anyone down, when called upon, yet rarely was he called upon (as a WR).

Looks like we have quite a few WRs signed... While on paper we might still need a #2, given the signings, I have a feeling that one of these guys are viewed by the coaching staff as filled. I really dont think we go WR in round 1 now.
