The NFL Network guys were raving about him the other night.

Rivers is an interesting project, he was a producing machine at Youngstown State collecting 173 tackles, 56.5 TFL, 41 sacks, and 48 QB Hurries in his career.

His combine was a little mixed:
Ht - 6035 (14th)
Wt - 248 lbs. (33rd)
Arm - 32 3/4" (30th)
Hand - 9 3/8" (34th)
40 - 4.61 (4th)
10 Yd Split - 1.61 (6th)
Bench - 30 Reps (3rd)
BJ - 10'3" (4th)
VJ - 35" (6th)
SS - 4.40 (16th)
60S - 12.43 (7th)*
3 Cone - 6.94 (3rd)

*Only 8 DE's ran the 60 yard Shuttle

Rivers athleticism is clear both in his measurements and on tape, my concern with him was always his size. He's a little light in the behind and he has shorter arms. However, his bench number is really impressive and that tells me that he has the ability to over come his length limitations and add some weight. As a 3rd or 4th Round option he would be ideal, but he could go as early as Round 2.

I don't think we need another Alabama D-lineman that has issues passing drug tests.

If McDermott's plan is to go with a west coast offense, IMO Peterman would be the best pick to run it. In the WCO a QB has to be accurate, be able to throw with anticipation and go through progressions. Peterman's strengths include all three of those attributes, while the Bills current QB struggles in all three. I don't think Peterman will last past the 2nd round, I'm all for the Bills using their 2nd pick to grab him. Let Peterman sit a year learn the offense and speed of the game and start him in 2018.

I think his lb teammate on the other side, Ryan Anderson is better, but Williams can rush the qb.

I don't think it counts if they change it. Then they're pseudo. It's like a taking a placebo that they tell you is a placebo, misses the point.

Looked bad in the Senior Bowl.

He didn't have a dominant performance, but he didn't "look bad". He completed 69% of his passes had 1 TD and also had a 1st quarter TD that was ruled incomplete (great catch by Zay Jones). He also was brought in at the end of the game and led the team down the field, going 11 plays for what could of been the tying or go ahead TD, unfortunately he threw a pick on the go ahead 2 point conversion try. Peterman did have some problems, he did fumble on a blind side hit and the int. on the conversion, but he also led the North on 3 of it's 4 scoring drives with a 12 play drive, an 11 play drive and a drive in a 1 minute offense. He also was the talk during the week of practice, not really a bad showing IMO.

Yeah. I watched. He didn't impress, especially given his pre-game hype. He blew that drive. He certainly didn't look anything like a pro. Completed a bunch of short stuff that meant nothing. Didn't show command. And lost the game given considerable extra playing time. He's not good.

Davis Webb was the only QB that looked halfway decent.

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/cfb/135765/garett-bolles

Utah T Garett Bolles visited the Bills on Thursday, according to Adam Caplan.
The top 15 is not reserved for only left tackles, as the Titans and Jack Conklin showed last year. The Bills have the left side locked down with Cordy Glenn, but the right tackle spot is a major question. We view Bolles as the top tackle in this class, as he combines athleticism with a finisher's mentality.

YardRat

Bolles would be a decent target if they trade down into the late teens or twenties and LBer Cunningham is off the board.

http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/4/16/15319306/report-west-georgia-cornerback-marcus-sayles-making-a-pre-draft-visit-to-buffalo-bills

The Buffalo Bills (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/buffalo-bills) are bringing in Marcus Sayles, a cornerback from Division II West Georgia, for a pre-draft visit, according to a report from Damond Talbot of NFL Draft Diamonds (https://twitter.com/DraftDiamonds/status/852689156451041280). Talbot previously reported the visits of Derek Rivers and Tim Williams (http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/players/219529/tim-williams), the last of which has since been confirmed by the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson (http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/players/76640/aaron-wilson).

The 5’9” 177 pound Sayles had an excellent workout at his pro day, with a 40 inch vertical jump, an 11 foot broad jump, a 6.56 three cone drill, and a forty yard dash that ranged between 4.37 and 4.47 seconds.

Sayles was a cornerback and special teams ace during his career at West Georgia. He had 12 career interceptions, and owns the national record for career blocked kicks with 13.

http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/04/buffalo_bills_host_temple_qb_phillip_walker_on_pre-draft_visit_report.html

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Bills recently hosted Temple quarterback Phillip (P.J.) Walker on a pre-draft visit.

The Temple quarterback appeared in 49 games in his career. Walker completed 830-of-1458 pass attempts (56.9 percent) for 10,668 yards with 74 touchdowns and 44 interceptions.

CBS Sports has Walker as their 39th ranked quarterback. Walker believed he'd be drafted following his pro day (https://twitter.com/Matt_Vender/status/839565249544130564), but there's a good possibility that he's signed as an undrafted free agent following the draft.
