Considering the rest of the league has been getting butt-****ed by New England for this entire century, this may actually be one of the few threads where a reference to anal sex is appropriate.

So it's the 287th Bills/Pats game since 2000 where the Pats either had a bye or Thursday game the week before, giving them extra time to prepare. Awesome.

In my head I know we've played them fewer than 40 times since 2000, but in my heart 287 times on extra rest feels like a low estimate.

They don't need the extra time against the Bills.

“Brady won his 13th game at New Era Field [on Sunday],” wrote Graham, who then points out that only Jim Kelly, Joe Ferguson, and Drew Bledsoe have more wins at the stadium in Orchard Park. Brady is tied with Doug Flutie.

He's 26-3 against the Bills. 1 of those losses (17-9) I believe he only played the 1st half due to Pats already clenching and Gronk/Edelman didn't play.

Not counting the last 2 victories...Overall, he's 24-3 against the Bills, resting in the second half of one of those losses, with 6,724 yards, 61 touchdowns, 19 picks and a 101.5 passer rating.

JoeMama

Ironically, the Patriots probably feel pretty screwed by the schedule when they get extra time to prep for the Bills.

They don't need it. They didn't ask for it. And no doubt they'd rather have a long week to face an opponent that will actually give them a run for their money.

That's what I figured as well, key matchups to start and NE would crush Buffalo so I'd figure they'd play someone that might be to their level.

I'm going to say the opener is at Atlanta. Seems like every new Bills coach has a tough debut. Marv and Rex are the only two Bills HC to EVER win their first game. So I'm sure one of the tougher teams will be week one. So Sean will be looking at 0-2 and an uphill battle.

http://www.lindyssports.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/article/headline/report-patriots-expected-to-open-season-against-chiefs/435741/

Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reported Sunday that the Patriots will “almost certainly” play the Kansas City Chiefs for the “Thursday Night Football” season opener at Gillette Stadium.

The Atlanta Falcons are on New England’s home schedule this season and could have been an option for a Super Bowl rematch in Week 1. But the Falcons are likely to open the season at home on “Sunday Night Football” to debut their new stadium, according to the report.

The Falcons’ possible home opponent could be the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Bills, Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneeers.

Conrad Doebler and Dan Dierdorf anchoring the right side of his o-line. One of the best games I remember as a young Bills fan was Thanksgiving Day 1975:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/197511270crd.htm

The Cardinals were expected to key in on OJ Simpson so the Bills ran fullback Jim Braxton 34 times for 160 yards. Boom!

Braxton was a one man wrecking machine that game. Simpson still had 85 yards in a "supporting" role.

The Dolphins will also finish their 2017 season at home -- this against the Buffalo Bills, per a Buffalo source. That game will be on Dec. 31.

That suggests the Dolphins will travel to Buffalo early in the season, right? Well, wrong.
The Dolphins and Bills are going to enjoy late December together as they play one another in two of the final three weeks. The Dolphins will visit Buffalo on Dec. 17, according to the same Buffalo source.

I can see 9 or 10 wins if we catch a couple of breaks.

You just had to rub it in didn't you!?

It's 70 degrees and perfect in "Stan" Diego.

San Diego is a beautiful city. Now they don't have a football team.

That's cold.

Would these breaks be to the legs of all the starting QBs of opposing teams we play a week before we play them?

The most I can see is 7 wins.

If we draft a WR, we hit 4 wins. New QB, 8 wins.

4 div games in the last 5, all against the Dolphins and Pats. Final two games are road division games.

That sucks.

Of course, it doesn't matter because we will be eliminated from playoff contention long before then.

The "back-loading" of divisional games, so to speak, came about a few years ago because IND with Manning was sitting down their starters as soon as victories wouldn't improve their playoff seeding.

Dear Bitter Bills fans.

Just be thankful that Buffalo still has a team thanks to Terry and Kim Pegula.

Oakland and San Diego are no longer cities with NFL teams.

Imagine waking up one morning to hear on the news that the Buffalo Bills were moving to....wherever.

Thank you, Terry and Kim Pegula for investing so much in to Buffalo.

No matter how jaded the average Bills and Sabres fan is, nobody can say that the ownership is "cheap."

They're trying harder than hell to win a Stanley Cup or Lombardi Trophy for Buffalo.

The Pegula's can care less about paying $15 million or more to a coach or player they hired to work for them, and then not work for them.

Money has NEVER been an issue with the Pegula's for the Sabres and the Bills.

They are in it to win it in Buffalo. I wouldn't take that for granted, I'm just thankful to the Pegula family for saving two sports franchises and the city of Buffalo itself.

Without the Pegula family....

Where would Buffalo be today?

What the **** is this piece of **** schedule?

NE, IND, MIA, @NE, @MIA down the stretch?

This is definitely the most oddly cobbled together sequence of games I've seen in a while.

An optimist would say that it's an opportunity to sew up the division title. :trance:

I'm an optimist in all things non-Buffalo.

IMO, the play of the Bills has a whole lot bigger affect on their record at the end of the year than who they are playing. It is a little odd to have 4 division games in the last 5 down the stretch, particularly a pair of home and homes with the two toughest teams in the division, (based on last year's record) but if Buffalo has executed well up to that point, they might actually have some positive momentum to take into the stretch. I don't think Miami is that tough that Buffalo will have to fear them, if they are playing well. As far as New England is concerned, it probably doesn't matter that much when Buffalo plays them, other than the fact that injuries can be much more of a factor that late in the season.

This is a solid 5-11 team.

Oh they will probably sqweak out 5 wins to take themselves out of the Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen sweepstakes's.

Most 2018 mocks have those 3 going in the Top 6 and Buffalo picking 7th.

It won't matter. You and I both know that, rather than wait a year, they're going to reach on a non-NFL ready QB in this draft and spend the next three years trying to convince themselves that he doesn't suck.

Sad but true normally, I hear WR first this draft.

Apparently, we aren't facing a single opponent who is coming off their bye-week this year. The only team that will have extra time to prepare for us is the Raiders, who will be coming off a Thursday Night game...but they still have to travel to Buffalo for an early game.

So that's good IMO.

Personally, I like the fact that we are playing the Pats and Fish twice each in the final 5 games.

All-in-all, I'm fine with the schedule...would have liked another prime time game or two, but I didn't expect to get any. Would have liked a few more 4o'clock games (we only have one), but that's no biggie...

We've known who our opponents were going to be for quite some time, so there is no shock there...

You must have gotten laid, because your in a optimistic mood. I'm having a hard time coming up with 5 wins. A sweep of the Jets, wins over the Bucs, Chargers and maybe the Saints. That's the best I can come up with.
