looks like NE won't resign him. Yeah he has baggage but so does half the league. I'd be in, former 10 10 pick, guy has size and speed, besides anything to keep the Bills from drafting yet another shiny object at 10. This is the kind of reclamation project the Bills need to hit on to pick up some ground. And if it fails the price will not be that high.

Pass. His best years are behind him. And they weren't even all that good. Plus he'll be suspended for at least 4 games this coming season. And I also don't want the Cheaters getting another credited lost FA toward comp picks, although I don't think he qualifies.

After June 1st pending who we draft. As then it wont formulate into the compensation formula.

Why wouldn't NE keep him?

Someone will sign him, count on it. And he's only 27, why are his best years behind him? The suspension is an issue but not a deal breaker

Why wouldn't NE keep him?

They signed him when Amendola was hurt, now he isn't. And NE just traded their 1st round pick to NO for Brandin Cooks. And they expect 2nd yr guy Malcolm Mitchell to play a bigger role. In short they don't need him. But we do.

He'll be signed elsewhere long before June 1st

No one will sign him until his legal issues are resolved.

Furthermore, he's likely to be suspended, so teams will wait until he finishes his suspension, because then they won't have to guarantee his 2017 salary and can pay him game-by-game.

I'm game. Would give us flexibility in the draft, though we'd probably need a backup plan.
