All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Buffalo Bills show interest in WR Josh Gordon for 2017
The Browns would have to give us a couple of draft picks to take him off of their hands or I wouldn't even consider it.
That makes zero sense. The only reason that happened (for the first time in NFL history) with Brock was money. If the browns GM did that, he should be fired and never get another NFL job.
I would give them a 6th and role with the risk
Not here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinions

Then they can keep him and peddle him to somebody else. I'm not wasting assets to take on somebody else's headache.

Knowing Gordon's talent, is he not a better risk than taking a late round WR who spent the entire year on the Non-Football Injury list?
I mean our #2 WR right now is basically a toss up between a bunch of guys that very few of us couldn't pick out of a lineup.
His off field issues cancel out the talent factor, IMO. Until he gets his **** together, a late-round pick has a better chance of contributing than another suspension-waiting-to-happen. I'll take a less-talented 'clean' guy that wants to work his ass off instead.

A conditional late round pick next year would be the right thing. Insulates us against the repeat offense. If they are looking they must be doing diligence.

Less talented clean guy who also missed the entire season. You're putting an awful lot of hope on a late round pick that may not even make it out of camp.
COMING SOON...

Somebody else would be putting an awful lot of hope on a guy that has been suspended for at least part of 4 seasons in a row, out of a total of 5. Why do you keep bringing up Listenbee as a comparison, unless you are planning on swapping him for Gordon? A more relevant comparison would be a draft pick that we haven't used yet that we would have to give up to acquire him. It's not an 'either-or' with Gordon/Listenbee, it's Gordon/draft pick.
