The ink is barely dry on the contracts, but ESPN.com has already assigned grades to how teams made out in the free agent market just three weeks into the signing season. The Bills were certainly busy even if S Micah Hydehttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/micah-hyde/a0651c9d-25fd-4c99-9548-2b837987bd50/) was their only big money signing. Buffalo earned a ‘B’ grade from ESPN.com. Here was their take on Buffalo’s free agent additions (http://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/19015966/free-agency-report-cards-all-32-nfl-teams-2017#BUF). Buffalo Bills
Grade: B
Key moves: restructured QB Tyrod Taylorhttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/tyrod-taylor/50822efc-81dc-4baa-8b40-65ac68a1ee00/); re-signed OLB Lorenzo Alexanderhttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/lorenzo-alexander/ea2ec69f-3769-4aa9-be9a-8a661b96c3f7/); signed FB Patrick DiMarcohttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/patrick-dimarco/c5baa5d7-1759-4545-a949-ecb8982cc1df/), S Micah Hyde, FB Mike Tolberthttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/mike-tolbert/8dd3da23-c460-41ed-90e8-c4ce9aff8ad6/), DB Jordan Poyerhttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/jordan-poyer/3993a32c-8968-47c3-9f90-6e40cdddd388/) and K Steven Hauschka; lost CB Stephon Gilmore, WR Robert Woods, WR Marquise Goodwin and LB Lerentee McCray
The Bills took much heat early in the offseason for their indifference toward Taylor, but they kept him in the end. They arguably overpaid for DiMarco at $2.1 million a year. Of course, who besides salary-cap managers should lose sleep over a four-year, $8.4 million deal for a good player, even if he's a fullback? New coach Sean McDermott got great production in Carolina from S Kurt Coleman. Imagine what he'll be able to get from the more talented Hyde. It's understandable why a new regime wouldn't be all-in for Gilmore, although watching the talented corner land in New England was not optimal.

I think they've done well so far but I'd like to see a little bit more activity at corner and LBer.
