The nephew of the late Hall of Famer Junior Seau is getting another chance in the NFL.
The Bills announced today that they have signed defensive end Ian Seau.
Seau signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent, made some plays in the preseason and was heavily featured on Hard Knocks, but he was cut just before the start of the regular season and didn’t catch on anywhere else.
Ian Seau played his college ball at Nevada-Reno. His uncle Junior Seau was an eight-time first team All-Pro.

"lacks explosion" one source said. As Mitch said, he's most likely camp fodder. His NFL ceiling is probably as a fringe player always struggling to keep a roster spot. He played for the Bills' assistant line coach in college and line coach in training camp.

Waufle saw something in him in L.A. or the Bills wouldn't even waste their time with him. I watched Hard Knocks and he had some good things about him. He needed to add bulk. He was getting pushed around too much but had good instincts according to Waufle.

Worth a shot. Gotta remember that the Rams have the deepest DL in the league, so making that team as a UFDA at that position is probably next to impossible.

Well, they had kept Matt Longacre over him, who was a UDFA the year prior. And they kept Morgan Fox, also a UDFA in 2016, over him, though he spent most of the season on their PS.
