They have 4 QBs on the roster right now: Tyrod, Cardale, TJ Yates, and camp arm Josh Woodrum. I assume that if the Bills draft a QB, Woodrum gets bumped from the roster the next day. That will leave them with a standard camp contingent of 4. What then do you do when you decide on the makeup of your roster. I think that will depend on what they really think of Cardale. If they really don't like him that much, it is an easy decision. He gets cut. Suppose they still do like him. I think at that point they will opt to carry 3 QBs on the 53 man roster - easier to do now that they won't need a kickoff specialist. They will decide after training camp whether they like Cardale more, or their yet to be determined rookie. The loser may end up on the PS, but stands a good chance of being snapped up by another QB hungry team. Of course, the round in which they pick him will have a lot to do with who sticks. Disagree? What do you think happens.

Re: Suppose the Bills Draft a QB
Cardale Jones has shown flashes. Even though I didn't like the draft pick, I have to concede he's a better player than I gave him credit for.
He's a project, a developmental guy. I'd give him another 2 years unless they believe he is not progressing.
Therefore I'd feel at least a little hesitant to cut him or place him on the PS.
Because you're right, Taylor and Yates ain't going nowhere.Disclaimer: The sentiment expressed in this post is strictly for entertainment purposes only.

They draft Chad Kelly in the third (or fourth if they pick one up via trade), put him on an injured list for the year, roll with Tyrod, Yates and Jones on the roster, figure out who to keep going forward next season.YardRat Wall of Fame

Re: Suppose the Bills Draft a QB
I could only see it if the Bills traded down and acquired additional picks to justify a QB selection.
Bills need players that can play a lot right away. No projects.
OLB, Secondary, WR seem to be the most needy positions if we have but 6 picks.Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit

Re: Suppose the Bills Draft a QB
On Path to the Draft (NFL Network) today they were doing a mock draft with trades. I had to leave before the first round was completed, but they had Buffalo dropping to 19 in a trade with the Buccaneers. That's a little low for my taste, but I'd consider it if Tampa offered enough picks. That might be a good spot for a QB not named EJ Manuel.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I imagine it would be so they can establish that Taylor is going to get the majority of reps in camp, but why would you tell a backup, he has no chance to battle for the starting spot ?
