San Fran may get some bites and be able to swing something early, but I wouldn't expect any movement from the other teams until the picks start coming off the board.

Problem is, who wants to trade up?

Agreed.

It's just letting the other 31 teams know " Call and we'll listen "

Problem is, who wants to trade up?There are obviously more teams that want to trade down than want to trade up. It will take exactly the right circumstances to pull it off. Teams higher up will charge more to switch, so the team wanting to trade up will be doing so to draft a higher rated prospect. For Buffalo, being in the tenth spot, they won't be charging as high a price. The problem is many experts think this is a deep draft at a number of positions with a dearth of high end talent. Thus, at #10 there may not be a player left that teams are going to want to give up picks for by the time Buffalo is on the clock. If a trade happens, it won't happen until Buffalo is on the clock, and it most likely depends on an elite prospect unexpectedly slipping at a position where Buffalo does not have a great need.

I'm sure CIN is in the trade-down market, too.

The last thing their owner wants is to deal with the contract extension goodies a top ten pick gets.

We should state at 10 and take the best available. Our team has too many needs.

That's why the 10th pick sucks.

If they have to many needs, shouldn't they want to trade down, for more picks? The reason to stay at ten, is because they need more studs. They only have one and they traded for him. But, drafting in the top ten for years, hasn't helped them find any.

Understand... but trading down could yield 1-2 extra picks and fill more needs.

There isn't any huge drop after #10. I can't separate the so called #7 player from #32 this year.

New England. Their 1st pick isn't until the 3rd round. Belichick figures the Bills will be dumb enough to give them pick 10 if he promises them his top 3rd rounder & sends Gillislee back. He's even willing to let us keep their 5th rounder. Whaley is considering the offer.

Agreed but it depends if there is a stud available at 10 that fills a huge need. We can certainly trade down and still get a good WR but if we want to go LB or DB, I'd stay at 10.

Surprised no one has mentioned this.

Number 10 is the easiest place to trade down from because of the fact that most teams have a top 10 draft board that they look at. If one of their players is there at 10 and we want to trade out, we could easily get a desperate team.
