Dave Aranda, LSU defensive coordinator, was just on John Murphy. He raved about White's brand of soft-spoken, unquestioned leadership in the LSU locker room. White was valedictorian in high school, so I'm getting the impression that Tre'Davious White is the sort of football player who is able to learn schemes quickly and competently, hopefully well enough that he can see what someone else is missing and help them understand it. That always seemed to me to be Aaron Williams' role on our defense, so if Tre can be that guy for us in a couple years or less then I'm certainly on board with this pick.

I think as far as leadership in the secondary goes, I think the Bills will rely on Micah Hyde, who I think has strong leadership qualities. Nothing against White, but he's a rookie, and Hyde, being a safety is in a better position to see the whole field. That's helpful in providing on field leadership and setting positions. White is going to be a strong and very positive locker room presence as soon as he gets past his rookie jitters.
