I truly have no idea.

I truly have no idea.

Yeah, it's not like many people have been following these guys...

With all due respect to anyone, it looks like Trey Brown is the guy they brought in to satisfy the Rooney Rule. Doesn't sound like he has the experience to prepare himself for the spot.

So far, I'd be surprised if it wasn't Brandon Beane...I don't know enough to vouch for him or not, but I think he'll be our man. Of course, McDermott has a lot to say.

Darth Vader is available...just saying, he kind of fits with being 17 years on the dark side.

I think he would work well with McDermott.

Beane or Veach for me

Russ Brandon Beane.

I like that guy.

Agree as I don't know much about them. Agree that Veach and Beane seem the most ready. What about Eric DeCosta (http://www.baltimoreravens.com/team/staff/Eric-DeCosta/f9720ac4-2e1d-4155-85df-d8f1ba782a54)?

I don't really have a specific preference, but at this point I would say choose one of Beane and Veach. Brown is too green, and I have to admit the Osweiler thingie is a red flag. I never wanted a 'football czar' brought in anyway, so that kind of leaves out 'other', or 'anybody not with ties to McDermott and looking for total control'.

Veach may have a bigger pool of people he's familiar with to pull from (KC and Philly) when putting together the new scouting staffs.

I think Sandy Beach would be an excellent GM.

I say yes.

I voted "other'.

It's time for Pegulas to stop screwing around and swing for the fences by hiring Secretary of Defense James Mattis.

you no a lot of the great G.M 's came out of no where, Polion .. Id hope they could find a good young and up coming guy and not a retread . Bean hasn't done anything and its not like Carolina has won year in and year out, if Im gonna pull off another franchise I would prefer a guy off the Pat's or Denver's maybe at least a franchise that wins most of the time.

Whomever McDermott picks that he has a good working relationship with, sees eye to eye with, and can WORK with.

I don't care what that person's name is, as long as the culture changes, and it seems like it is.

He might be a good fit for Sean McD.

All these unproven candidates make me nervous.

Wish we could just hire a guy whose proven he knows how to win.

Why would such a guy be available?

That's like saying that, before you get married, you want a person that has proven he/she makes a great spouse even though that person wis divorced.

Can't find a proven franchise QB either in much the same way, because they don't generally hit the market.

But if they were a great spouse yoked to a bad spouse and initiated the divorce ?

Hah, I say to you, Mister.

What Feldy said. Where are you going to find such a guy? He's either already employed as a GM or retired. I mentioned Eric DeCosta because he's been in Baltimore 18 straight years under Ozzie Newsome who is one of the most respected GMs in football. You'd have to think he's ready.

I think everyone's always after DeCosta and he has no interest in leaving.

Eliot Wolf is only 35 years old, but has been with Green Bay for 13 years - maybe he is ready to spread his wings.

Pretty sure guys like Wolf and DeCosta, if they ever do lay claim to a full time gig, are going to want to be in charge and not play second fiddle to a head coach.

Hah, I say to you, Mister.

That's just the attitude his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th wives had...if you see what I'm saying.

Right back at you, Corn-Pone.

Then again, I'm pretty sure bad spouses have been married for 50-plus years before, too. I didn't know we were going to delve so far into my arbitrary example. But I'm sure you know what my point is. A GM isn't proven until he fields a good football team for a period of time, regardless of anything else. Those guys aren't growing on trees for us to pick.

But keep it up, there fella. You know I can go on and on with the scenarios, and even enjoy it. Did you hear the one about the fantastic parent whose five kids each turned out to be murderers? Me neither...

At the very least it would add a new twist to the 'GM servicing Kim' meme that certain folks put forth.

That certain folk is our local village idiot...but girl on girl belongs in my bedroom, not on the football field...

although the gate attendance would probably equal a sellout...especially if they showed close ups on the scoreboards..
