It's a bit early to make the call.

Where does it say "job offer scheduled?"

It's not official yet, but it's only a matter of time...

He was the obvious choice from the start.

I just heard we're interviewing Brian Gutekunst today, the Director of Player Personnel for the Packers.

I think it's still early to call it either way.

We may need an asst. GM also. Pro Personnel director. Scouting director. Multiple titles.

Who's to say we aren't hiring 2 or more of these guys ?

Beane is probably helping with the interview for the Packers guy. Second interview is a formality. The Beane is our GM.

I think it's still early to call it either way.To be honest, I don't want any executive from the Packers. They lucked into Rodgers and they put an absolute **** team around him for years. They are wasting him like the colts wasted Manning.

Sure, that's possible. I still think it's too early to call either way.

From what I hear, Packer fans do not want us to touch this guy but Lions and Vikings fans do. Apparently he's on the short list to be the heir apparent to their current GM Ted Thompson. I think they draft well, but for some reason the Packers have a policy about not signing any free agents. I think that's a bigger reason that the team around Rodgers is struggling. I wouldn't be upset if we got this guy on our side.

That's interesting considering most people have pinpointed Elliot Wolf as the heir apparent. Could be either way though.

I've had second interviews that didn't become job offers.

Nothing is concrete until it's on paper.

Yeah, I have to think Wolf is the favorite. Maybe that's why Gutekunst is floating his resume.

Nothing is concrete until it's on paper.Did you interview with an NFL team? Probably not because second interview is 100% hired in the NFL.

No, it's true. I can confirm.

I saw Russ Brandon and Beane at the Sundowner last night.

I overheard Russ say "It's On like Ron."

Like Ron, guys.
It's a done deal.

So far there are only 3 candidates....and Trey Brown isn't a real option imo

Wish we were looking for a few more to be thorough.

Bills interviewing Brian Gutekunst for GM.

Another candidate has apparently emerged in the the Buffalo Bills (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/buffalo-bills) search to find a new team general manager. The Bills will reportedly interview Brian Gutekunst (http://www.packers.com/team/staff/brian-gutekunst/17567ea1-38e4-4d60-8270-84a5095551dd), the director of player personnel for the Green Bay Packers (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/green-bay-packers), for their vacant general manager position on Monday.

Packers are always cited as the quintessential 'build though the draft' team. Occasional high impact free agent.

Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
