Decades from now, with grandchildren bouncing on his knees, Sean Moran might reflect back upon the trying times he endured in 2002.
After six seasons of solid work, mostly as a reserve, with the Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Rams, the defensive lineman began his first season as a 49er with an abdominal pull, then sprained his ankle. By the end of year, he also had injured his Achilles tendon.
