Abner Logan and Anthony Harrell were tryout players who did enough to displace a couple other rookies (Junior Sylvester and Jeremy Taylor). Tough to find a lot of info. Harrell has a bit of a checkered past having lost time to a suspension in college. He played at both Ga. Tech and Florida. Logan is bigger and seems to have some athleticism having run a 10 yard split of 1.59 at his pro day. He played college ball for Maryland and Albany. If anybody can add info, it'll be appreciated.

2006 draft interview: Anthony HarrellAnthony Harrell Ilb FloridaBiography – Anthony grew up in Tampa, Florida. He got into football thru his dad, James Harrell, who played in the NFL for 9 years and coached him from little league all thru out high school and recently in the Shrine game. His dad taught him everything he knows, Anthony made the NFL as UDFA which is amazing because he was a walk-on at Florida where he only started 1 game.

His dad ran a 4.48. Father and son are still working together training now in Tampa. Anthony was an all-state RB/LB in high school rated 97, 26th LB. His big highlight in high school was when he had 22 tackles plus 95 yards rushing, 2 TDs on offense in the same playoff game. Anthony went to Georgia Tech where he was recruited by Charles Kelly, redshirted, and worked his way thru special teams during his first years for the Yellow Jackets.
Coach Kelly left went to Florida State and then Anthony was coached under Ted Roof. Eventually Harrell earned a starting job but tore his ACL in first start. He fought way back from the injury and was a rotational guy. His mentioned his kick return against Georgia that set up the game winning field goal.
Anthony earned his Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech in Business. As a graduated transfer, Anthony ended up at Florida to go to grad school thru Randy Shannon whom Anthony wanted to play for when Coach Shannon was at Miami. Unfortunately Anthony hurt his toe in the spring and fought his way up to 2nd team. Things looked bright as he worked behind Antonio Morrison, Jerod Davis who were hurt which was a big reason he chose to play his final year at Florida.
Anthony was glad to be able to help out the Gators. He felt like he took advantage of opportunity and was glad to play in the SEC.After the season, Anthony had a great experience at Shrine game with Charlie Weiss’s team and while there, finally got a chance to shine. He liked he could prove doubters wrong and show he could still play.
He enjoyed the time he got to spend with his roommate Jamie Byrd from USF.Anthony has a terrific mantra for not only football but life, “How you overcome adversity defines you”.Would you say your dad is your football hero? Played 2 years then moved under his dad who became coach and led Freedom High to first winning game.
Last year at Jesuit, went undefeated under dad. Lost in 2nd round. What are you doing to get ready for the draft? Training at Performance Compound with Yo Murphy. He’s trying to get more explosive and muscular, rotate hips. Improve acceleration. In addition, he is working out with dad. What was it like to play in the Swamp? Nothing like it, loudest stadium ever. He has had to overcome tearing his ACL and is positive that there will be the light of the end of the tunnel. He is relentlessly pursuing his dream of making the NFL.Self-comparison – Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos. He trained with me last offseason.Grad school – Agribusiness – What is that? Learned about agriculture and business
.Favorite video game? NCAA (04 was best)Goals besides the NFL – Open up my own business gym or bar/restaurant, be a coach following in dad’s footsteps.Who would win in race, you or your dad back in the day? He ran a high 4.4 so he has me right now but I am stronger, benching max 415 lbs.Favorite college class – Personal Sales
