Dawson continues a trend with the new Bills front office of hiring people with vast experience who are quite young. At this point, it almost seems to be a necessity that new hires have 15 or more years of experience in the NFL but are under the age of 50.

This definitely isn’t your grandfather’s Buffalo Bills, ladies and gentlemen.

I'm not mad about it.

Everyone has been screaming for a clean house, and they finally got it.

I like the "youth" movement.

Even if it fails, it still beats the hell out of the Gailey/Jauron/Nix hires.

Is Lake Dawson anywhere near the Genesee River?

Also, BTW, I figure saying Russ Brandon hiring him is another quip...

Russ has taken the team this far under his stellar leadership...no sense changing asses in midstream.

Lots of experience with good teams (Kansas City and Tennessee) also spent 2016 with Cleveland as their National Scout, which is a team many people thought had an incredible draft.

Well, Lake is African American, so probably not.

But nice throwback to the QB who led the Chiefs past the Bills to be in the first ever superbowl.

He was a great TE for the Irish.

I really like the organization they're building. It looks solidly accomplished. Not big splash work, but determined, focused competence.

Also deep. I feel like they know a lot of guys they've brought in for top spots may be next in line, so they're back filling the FO so guys like Dawson could step in if Gaine gets hired next offseason. It's pretty smart which is rare.

I like it.

You folks can like it all you want, but until it starts producing more than 8 wins a season it doesn't matter.
