One thing I'm curious about... is what he has to give up to Vegas to keep Ulmark.

As for a head coach....might I suggest Kris Knoblauch? The HC of the Erie Otters has NOTHING left to prove in juniors. He's won league titles in the OHL and WHL and nearly won a Memorial Cup with Erie.

Erie's GM has said that he fully expects to be looking for a new head coach in the offseason.

Mike Harrington reports that Chris Taylor could be the front runner for Amerks coaching job...

And for that opening in Rochester just created by the firing of Dan Lambert, it stands to reason that Botterill will be looking heavily towards former Sabres and Amerks player Chris Taylor as the replacement.Taylor spent this season as an assistant at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton after Lambert opted not to retain him when he took the Amerks job last June. Taylor played more than 500 games with Amerks over parts of nine seasons and would certainly be a wildly popular pick in Rochester, where fans have grew quite sour with the Sabres the last two years.
