With the passing of June 2nd and AW's release official, the team reportedly now has a little over $15mil cap room for this season. Enough to sign one, but not both, of the bigger offensive free agents recently made available because they were released by their '16 team. Which one would you sign, and why? Pass on both?

Not that interested in either. Just roll it over into next season.

Pass on both unless they come dirt cheap. By dirt cheap I mean a couple million for Maclin. Tyrod won't throw over the middle so another TE would be pointless.

Both.

Maclin would instantly turn out WR corps into a scary unit.

He still may not be on the roster yet.

We are desperate for a WR. Not sure how Maclin doesn't help immediately.

I slept on it wrong at a sh1tty Hampton Inn, but I might be able to make a go of a few seam routes in the 5-10 yard range.

You are actually shorter than TT so WTF do you mean by might?

If everyone stays healthy it would be acceptable.

That's because Tyrod and Shady think they're the future.

They're not.

If the Bills were looking to contend for something either may make sense, but this appears to be more of a team in transition that is better off developing younger talents who are part of a multi-year roster building approach.

You beat yourself raw with it and it's now limp is the real story.

Tyrod might be thinking with Maclin and Watkins he could have a good season and get rewarded with a big contract for 2018 and beyond. If the bills decided to keep both Maclin and Watkins in 2018, no way would they pay a big contract to Taylor. Both WR's would demand $10 million +. I can't think of a team paying 2 WR's over $10 million each.
As far as McCoy goes, if the Bills turn into a pass first team, he'll be gone. The Bills are not going to take a $9 million cap hit on a RB if they're a passing team.
So I say if they Bills do sign Maclin to a big contract (and keep Watkins), both Tyrod and Shady could be booking their bus tickets out of Buffalo.

I'll take whoever can replace Robert Woods' blocking skills since that is all they will be doing.

Maclin as he can be an above average #2 and at times a pseudo number 1 if Sammy gets hurt again. Toss in he's younger than Barnidge and more proven. As I'd love to sign Maclin to a two or three incentive laden year contract as give us some insurance if we were to lose Sammy and/or allow Zay Jones to develop naturally and not force him to become a number 1 WR if he never becomes one.

Both. It can't hurt too much to win WHILE building for the future. 5.5 mil for mc. 3 mil for barn. 8.5 isn't much in the grand scheme and makes us much better for this year and at that point one injury doesn't decimate the team.
