The Buffalo Bills (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/buffalo-bills) drafted Zay Jones in the second round (https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/4/28/15480494/buffalo-bills-zay-jones-second-round-2017-nfl-draft-thoughts) in the 2017 NFL Draft (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-draft), but still have severe depth issues at wide receiver. That is one reason they pursued free agent Jeremy Maclin (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/71548/jeremy-maclin), but now that he has signed (https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/6/13/15792144/nfl-baltimore-ravens-wide-receiver-jeremy-maclin-contract-details-emerge-buffalo-bills-could-afford)with the Baltimore Ravens (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/baltimore-ravens), should the team look next at Eric Decker (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/108620/eric-decker)?
"Well, until that comes through via the league, we can't really discuss that - we're always going to look," said Bills head coach Sean McDermott this week. "We're always going to look to add at every position - adding competition is healthy, and there's positions that perceptually some may say 'hey check the box, they're good' - well, we're always going to look to add, even at those positions. That's the pursuit of winning - that we have to stay hungry."
Decker, 30, hadn’t yet been released by the New York Jets (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/new-york-jets) when McDermott was asked the question. The veteran has three 1000-yard seasons and 0.55 touchdown catches per game over the course of his career. He could be the safety valve Tyrod Taylor (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/131481/tyrod-taylor) needs. It would also give Buffalo insurance for a Sammy Watkins (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/245647/sammy-watkins) injury or a Zay Jones learning curve.
The Bills might have a hard time prying Decker away from the Tennessee Titans (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/tennessee-titans), though. In need of receiver help, the Titans were his first free agent visit and he and his wife, a country singer, live near Nashville.
For now, his only confirmed visit has been in Tennessee, where he left without a contract on Wednesday. The Cleveland Browns (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/cleveland-browns) and Baltimore Ravens are also said to be interested and the Philadelphia Eagles (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/philadelphia-eagles) pursued Maclin.
