    GM Botts still not forgetting about Gio

    Botterill was not ready to close the book on another year for the Sabres captain. He said that discussions with Gionta's representatives are ongoing and that the team will continue to examine whether or not there's a fit.

    I could take him for another year.

    He's 5-7 and old..but he's still better than the dreck the Sabres have put out there on the 3rd and 4th lines.

    Having him and Jason Pom in the locker room is a major positive.

        Someone on here suggested bringing him back as a coach. I think that's win-win. Keep his leadership and experience but acknowledge that age has caught up with him.

                I agree we should bring back Gio as a coach not player.
