September 10th is only 99 days away.
Bills vs. Jets at New Era Field.
I don't mind wishing the summer away, I hate hot weather! Yes, I'm complaining. Thank God I was born in Buffalo.
Bring the cold snow! The sooner the better...
When the leaves turn and it's 60-65 degrees, I'm in Bills heaven. I wish the league would bump Week 1 up a week...home openers in early September can be scorchers. Back in 2002 against the Jets, it was so hot I dunked my head in a cooler full of ice not knowing it was full of clams casino. I stunk like clams, and so did the Bills in a 37-31 heart breaking, clams casino smelling, hot as hell of an opening day loss.
Between now and opening day a lot can happen, especially during training camp and 4 preseason games.
Same old Bills, or will McDermott make his mark and brand the Bills in his image? In a way he already has made his mark on the team.
The 2017 off season has been the least flashy, least media attention grabbing off season the Bills have had in many years. No big splashes in free agency, no big splashes in the draft, no big waves to ride on.
The Bills sea is uncharacteristically calm and quiet, as can be seen here at the BillsZone - much quieter than usual.
Is this some kind of calm before the storm?
There is not a lot of talk coming out of OBD, which is something Bills fans are not used to especially after the last 2 seasons. But even before Rex, the Bills brass did a lot of talking to the media and gave the fans many piles of hot garbage to chew on and talk about.
Who tied Russ Brandon's hands behind his back and put a sock in his mouth?
After 17 years in NFL Siberia, many Bills fans are reluctant to get their hopes up. Those feelings are based on the past, not the future.
For more than 17 years, nobody ever wanted to go to the waterfront in downtown Buffalo. That is no longer true.
It's hard not to be optimistic after seeing everything happening in Buffalo. A friend of mine who is a contractor can't keep up with the demand. He has to turn his cellphone off and decline work...that's how crazy things are in Buffalo right now, and property values are going through the roof.
If the City of Buffalo can change and turn things around, so can the Buffalo Bills.
Go Bills, and may God continue to bless America and our Great City!
Like the sound of cannons.
