Gun charge...at a waterpark in Cincinnati. It's a tough waterpark.

The story is awfully vague. He "displayed" a gun to officers. That could mean anything from "he aimed a gun at officers" to "he saw cops and wanted to let them know he had a firearm on him so they weren't surprised if they searched the car of a huge black dude" with any degree of nuance in between.

If you look up better accounts, he wasn't in a car, he was in a Slingshot (3 wheeled motorcycle). There are better accounts.

I go by that very small water park on the way to Menard's.

It is a black vs white issue with cops. And really guns should be only carried if there is a law to carry a license with it. Kids could get scared.

Might be Washington took one too many hosings with Super Soakers and didn't know where to get one, so he figured a few rounds over their heads if they came at him again when he tried to enjoy his favorite water slide...

Rex Ryan keeps screwing this team over even after he left.

I've been watching some old episodes of Hard Knocks, it's amazing how many scrubs from the Rex Ryan Jets ended up being Bills under him. Worst and best moves made in a decade involved Rex Ryan, hiring him (worst), then firing him (best).

They should never have hired him in the first place.

Washington has a license to carry a concealed weapon in Ohio, I read.

Dunno exactly what happened, but it doesn't sound like the charges are too serious. "Displaying a weapon?" Not "brandishing" one. Sounds like the cops just saw it.

Dunno why anyone would bring a gun to a water-park. Like Mace said, there might have been issues at the water slide.

Because you can't preach "change of culture" and then continue to allow the same moronic mistakes to happen.

Cut his ass, why exactly?

Because he's an idiot.

He missed a college bowl game after being arrested for soliciting oral sex from and undercover cops posing as a prostitute.

Now he brings a gun to a water park?

Dumbass with bad judgement, and not a particularly good football player.

If there new regime is going to preach character and discipline, they need to back up their words by giving this idiot a boxed lunch and a bus ticket.

I don't think he whipped his gun out at the police, nor "showed it to them."

"Look, cops. See what I have?" Doesn't sound like that to me. That's maybe the best way to get shot.

Cut his ass.

It won't happen. He'll cut himself in camp if he doesn't play well.. but that thinking means we have a dozen other guys on the roster that should be cut. Dareus, RB Williams and many more.

They are football players. Cattle.

He can also play in 4-3 at DT. He's solid depth, keep him unless he is outperformed in training camp. Sheeshus like he's the only NFL player in the history of the league that got arrested on gun related charges. At least he didn't shoot anyone, including himself.

They can buy their own weapons from gangs like the rest of us without permits do. Maybe they already did and that's why Adolphus needed some glizzy to feel safe during his refreshing aquatic recreation.

And they buy into team-first, and if they dork up, they're gone. You can not like him, but Belichick brings out a commitment in players to a concept, or, gets rid of them.

I don't really see Washington after one year, benched in his last game, as solid. I see him as adequate. I think McDermott cuts him.

I heard it was about a chicken wing dispute -- the Ryan brothers were told by Duff's that they could NOT order 10 lbs each since Adolphus had already ordered 15 lbs and they did NOT have the inventory on hand.

Why does he have a gun in his lap or on the floor while he's riding. Pretty suspicious or immature. McDermott won't put up with that kind of stupid for long.

Interesting video. Piecing things together, Washington, who has a permit to carry the weapon had put it under the seat of his open vehicle and was trying to put it away (on his person) when police officers spotted him with gun in hand. I can understand why police officers get very nervous at anyone holding a gun, but I don't think Washington had any sinister thoughts in this incident. I'm guessing the court will let him plea bargain down to a lesser charge. Hopefully, Washington will be more careful in the future about what he does with his gun in public. I have no idea what the league will do with this.
