As in past seasons, they'll do a game at the KeyBank Center; this year it'll be February 21st, 2018 when the Syracuse Crunch provide the opposition. Syracuse also will be the Amerks' opening night opposition October 6th(the next night, they head down the I-90 to Syracuse).
Also of note: this will be the first time Amerks fans get to see the Charlotte Checkers(as they now move into the Eastern Conference); they'll make 2 appearances. Also, half of the Amerks' division has undergone some shifts in location; the Devils moved their affiliation from Albany to Binghamton...who saw the B-Sens move up I-81 and Highway 401 in Ontario to become the Belleville Senators, and Montreal moved their affiliate from St. John's, Nfld. to Laval, Que.(just outside Montreal)to become the Rocket.
