YRC - How many new starting OL will the Bills have this season?

One competition was expected along the right side of the Buffalo Bills' offensive line at training camp.

Two? Well that's a little bit of a surprise.

When the Buffalo Bills traded up into the second round to draft Temple's Dion Dawkins, it was assumed he would challenge incumbent Jordan Mills for the starting job at right tackle. That competition never really materialized during the spring because Dawkins played on the left side in place of the injured Cordy Glenn. With Glenn expected to be ready when training camp starts Thursday at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, Dawkins is expected to move back to the right side to start the competition with Mills.
I know a lot of people are hoping for Dawkins to win a spot out of camp. Personally I see the OL as Glenn-Incognito-Wood-Miller-Mills which would mean the Bills have no new starters on the OL.

I hope it is at least one by the Opener and by season's end two.

Hopefully none via injury, I expect 1 new one.

Having to replace Glenn screwed Dawkins over. Now he's behind in the RT competition.

Training camp still gives opportunity for change. However, while Dawkins may be very capable of playing on the right side, it does beg the question, if Dawkins were to win the opportunity to start at right tackle, what does Buffalo do about a swing tackle in reserve? I don't know that there is anyone on the roster who would be capable of stepping in for an injured Cordy Glenn at left tackle if it's not Dawkins. In theory, you want your best 5 guys starting, but it could make for an awkward situation in the event of an injury, essentially having to change two positions, right and left tackle both, for one injury, if Cordy Glenn is the guy who goes down.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

I couldn't stand another season of Mills at RT.

If Miller's pass pro doesn't improve, I'd strongly consider inserting Groy at RG.

I finally like the depth at OL that the Bills have. Ducasse can play G/T and Groy can sub in anywhere on the interior. I think if Dawkins becomes the starter at RT, Mills and Ducasse can be backup Tackles and Groy will be the primary backup at at least one Guard position and Center. Also, I think the Bills keep Henderson around if he's healthy although he's going to be suspended for the first part of the season. He won't count against the final roster, his cap savings would be almost zilch if he's cut, and midseason can re-evaluate where the OL is with him in the mix.

I think Groy starts, if not at center than right guard. If Dawkins is going to be any kind of an upgrade he shouldn't have any problems beating out Mills for RT shortly out of the gate.

One, I think RT is Dawkins' job to lose. I know everyone is talking about Ducasse replacing Miller yet I can't see it happening.

Henderson's suspended for the first 5 games, we might keep him but don't forget the name Cameron Jefferson, he's been in camp with Rick Dennison the last two seasons in Denver and even spent some time on their practice squad so he could be a surprise depth guy that final gets a shot at the final 53.

Cameron Jefferson would be an interesting guy to watch this pre-season.

                      Could have a huge upside.
