Now-coveted speed ends rushing to the QB -- and the bank

They are the NFL's speed rushers, players who once were thought to be useful only in passing situations, creating a pass rush in the nickel and dime packages with their burst off the corner. They were told they were too small to play every down, so all their job required was to put their speed to use on passing downs.

Now they are keys to winning in the NFL, and they're being paid mightily because of it. The eight leading sackers from last season all can be categorized as speed rushers, and three of them were rewarded with new mega contracts in the offseason.
