Gilmore tossed from yesterdays practice
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Apparently Edelman was on top of Gilmore which is no surprise. Edelman is a tough fiesty small WR, Gilmore is an overly entitled extra emotionless pussyNot here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinions

Re: Gilmore tossed from yesterdays practice
You normally expect a few fights over the course of a training camp. That part of the story, at least, is normal.
Belichick's response to fights seems harsher than I'd expect from your average coach. I could be wrong, but my impression is that some coaches welcome fights between their players, as a sign of passion and emotional intensity. Belichick, however, seems to be operating on the belief that if a player is conditioned to not lose his cool in practice, he's less likely to lose his cool during a game.

Gilmore is day-to-day with a broken finger nail and a couple of lost extensions. Edelmen is expected to return as soon as his stomach stops hurting from laughing so hard.YardRat Wall of Fame
