I like how McDermott is approaching his situation here. This article might sound overly emo to some, but I think it's a simple practical way to foster a real band of brothers. People step up their game in any profession to support "family". It triggers response.

Before the start of their morning meeting, coach Sean McDermott invites a player to address the team. Given the opportunity to address their teammates and coaches, everything is on the table.

When a player stands up in front of his team and opens up, it gives the rest of the players locker room banter. I love it!
