Anyone hear of any decent WRs that will be / might be released when teams start paring down rosters? Any bubble players?

There is NO WAY the team goes into week one with this group without any pick ups.

Thoughts?

Actually, thanks for asking however although I just completed my third dump of this morning I did not hit 13 lbs -- 6.1 + 2.8 + .9 = 9.8 lbs.

The day is young however.

Max McCaffrey in GB and Austin Carr in NE.

McCaffrey is a big outside WR with speed to burn (4.36 40).
Carr is a classic smaller slot WR who is quick with great hands and body control but lacks deep speed.

Both are competing for spots on deep WR corps and have earned praise in camp.

Yup, dump him, not worth it. Get that comp pick back.

Shorts needs to see more action, I'd rather have him than Holmes, plus we may get the comp if they're smart enough to dump the other two.

I haven't been paying close enough attention to anybody else's camp to offer anybody up, I'll have to wait to see what comes through when cuts are made.

Dorsett has been a disappointment and never turned out to be that "deep threat" with the Colts (51 rec. 3 TD's) and now is in a 3 way battle for the 3rd WR spot. Add to it he's had foot problems that caused him to miss 6 games the last 2 seasons. He has also suffered 2 hamstring injuries since minicamp. I doubt that the speed he once had is still there and without that speed, at 5'10" he doesn't offer a big target for Taylor. First round bust.

No need to go all Spiked on us with the big, bold font.

I'm sure there is some off-the-radar WR that will get surprise waived in final cuts that they can get.

1st round perceived busts are what the Patriots love to pick up. is he a bust as a 4th rounder without 1st round pressure on him? (assuming the Bills could score him for a 4th or later)

I'm guessing at camp cuts, but if any of these names get released I think I'd take a look:
Josh Boyce - Cleveland
Justin Hunter - Pittsburgh
Marlon Brown - Denver
Michael Floyd - Minnesota
Josh Huff - Tampa Bay

All of those guys are 5th or lower on their teams depth charts per Ourlads.

I don't put too much into where a player was picked in deciding if he's good or not. I posted the 1st round bust comment, because I know there'll be people thinking/saying he was a 1st round draft pick, he has to be good. If the Bills can get him for nothing or very cheap, let him come in and battle, but I'm seeing the trade Ragland for Dorsett talk and I think that's overpaying for him.

Zay Jones is a super star.
Shorts and Reilly are okay.

Andre Holmes, Philly Brown drop too many passes - I can't stand it.
Ross is invisible
Streater is injured

We need 1) a dependable route running possession receiver - Wes Welker type 2) Playmaker burner on the outside - Desean Jackson

Those guys do get cut, so who knows.

All depends if we're trying to win, still not sure what the objective is.

No more WRs that can't catch please, please.

I don't know the full situation and if they'd release him, but Allen Hurns sounds like someone to watch. Rotoworld says Jags might be trying to trade him. Wouldn't want to take on that contract (5 yrs/40 mil) even if we had the space, but if they do happen to release him, could be a name to watch.

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9867/allen-hurns

Of course, if we do have the cap room and they want to trade us a pick just to take his contract (a la Osweiler trade), I'd be OK with it.

Interesting that they also cut their rookie picks this year

Sad to say, CIN hung on to U of Tenn rookie Josh Malone:

https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/players/playerpage/2131636/josh-malone

I was hoping he would become available, but the Owner's 1st round draft pick, the historically injury-ridded speedster John Ross, injured his knee this Friday on his second play of the entire preseason. This guy is lining up to be a bag of glass, just like TE Tyler Eifert.

So they had to hang on to Malone. He looked quite decent during preseason, and there was no way they could have got him to their PS.
