All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Besides running, what does Tyrod bring to the field ??
Besides running, what does Tyrod bring to the field ??
He can scramble (which makes him harder to guard) but what else does Tyrod bring to the field ?? He can't read defenses that well, can't anticipate open receivers, can't throw into the middle and makes some amazingly stupid passes that won't ever work. I know he can throw bombs but stretching the field is designed to open up intermediate routes which he won't throw too or anticipate, so where are going ??
Seriously, I just see dead ends and this guy would not start on any other teams outside the bottom 5 which are all currently coin tosses.
I'd have to say that McCoy "drove our run game last year". Taylor and Gillislee certainly added to it, but saying that either of them were more of a driving force than McCoy would be far off. McCoy accounted for just under 50% of the Bills rushing yards and was without a doubt the player that opposing defenses were worried about.
Take away Taylor's total rushing yards and the Bills still would of finished 3rd in the league in rushing yards.

Our option runs helped block 8 man fronts, teams couldn't key on McCoy because Taylor was also a threat, the 8th man had to stay honest. PFF did a great write up about this.
In this week's installment of "Teaching Tape," Mike Renner looks at what it was that gave Buffalo the best running game in the league.
I'm not trying to sell Shady short, he's unreal in making defenders miss, but man Tyrod kept teams honest. Great scheme, it's all out the window this season, interested in seeing how we run the ball with pretty much the same exact personnel.

I was thinking of that article too. Its really well written. Its more than just TT and Shady...look at the design of the plays, especially the first. When I looked at the still, I thought, "OK..there are 3 guys to the outside, so its a handoff to Shady, he breaks right after getting the ball and follows Miller for about a 7-8 yard gain, not bad".
But there are things in the play design that make it work, besides TT and Shady. Clay has to come from the other side of the line and take out one of the outside guys (he does).
The wr in motion need to draw the CB wide, (he does).
TT has to outrun one of the outside rushers, (he does)
As much as the new regime is hellbent on erasing all memory of the previous regime...Dennison should have swiped a copy of their running game playbook..and study it intently.
Re: Besides running, what does Tyrod bring to the field ??
lol... Love all the threads complaining and whining about TT, when our offense wasnt our weakness last year. RB's running for over 200yds (in multiple games), blowing a 20+ point lead in the second half, losing against the Jets twice and making Fitzpatrick look like a probowler... the list goes on and on.
Defense screwed us the past 2 years, but how many threads do you see about that? Instead, lets all pick on TT and the offense.
