It's correct to assert both QBs made the final roster cuts, but incorrect to claim they made the teams "as number 2s." Manuel is the Raiders' third string QB just as Cardale Jones is the Chargers' third string QB. The backup QB for the Raiders is Connor Cook. The backup QB for the Chargers is Kellen Clemens.

You are correct. It's odd that the Chargers' official depth chart still lists Clemens as the backup, at least as of the time of me writing this post. But I'm sure they'll get that updated. Looks like the Chargers are going with just two quarterbacks, at least for the time being.

Doesn't really mean anything but I had to look it up, stats for all 3 for the last 2 preseason games :

Peterman - 20/34 174 yards, 0 td 0 int, 1 rush 3 yards, 2 sacks
Jones - 27/37 232 yards, 0 td 2 int, 4 rush 33 yards, 3 sacks
Manuel - 11/18 93 yards, 1 td 0 int, 3 rush 6 yards, 1 sack

I think Jones has more to offer with development effort, Peterman impresses me as progressing as he should be, on Manuel I have no thoughts besides I think he's Trentative and will never be able to let loose.
