I've never seen or read about the tattoo(s) before, so it was sort of shocking to see it.

IMO, this season is a rebuilding season. Everyone gets a clean slate. Playing TT will let us know if he can play in this system or not. I would love for him to be a great qb in this system although I am not expecting it. There's only one way to really find out. He needs to get a fair chance.

Peterman will get his chance too I'm sure, but not while we are trying to establish our offensive identity. Let McCoy and co. establish a solid run game in this system first . Once that is set, if Tyrod still sucks, then an established solid run game will ease the entry on Peterman.

I think it's the right call starting Tie Rod. A new coach has to have his players feeling he's trying to win and the vet QB does that. But this isn't a season long call. I think you go 5 games and review it at the bye. 3-2 or better Tie rod stays in. 0-5 or 1-4 he sits. 2-3 you look at it carefully and make a call based on the way the games have gone, the mood of the team, how NP looks in practice, etc. If you decide to make a change you use the bye to get the rookie as ready as you can. Once you make the move you leave him in barring injury and see what you have.

Tyrod was the worst of our QBs in preseason. Worse even than Yates. To my mind, he gives us the smallest chance to win--at least with our new offensive scheme. With Dennison's scheme, the QB lives or dies by his skill as a pocket passer.

All of which is why I'm thrilled that Tyrod will be starting. I view this game as a must-lose, if we're going to optimize draft position. Here's keeping my fingers crossed that Tyrod stays healthy and that he plays every snap!
