ESPN: Our only chance at success this season is Nathan Peterman

Did you know the Falcons and Jets entered 2016 with identical odds of winning the Super Bowl? That's how fast things change in the NFL. Here's what each team needs in order to take the title.

Our only chance of success this season is an outbreak of whooping cough that affects every team but us.

You've heard it from me & the press, Tyrod will not help us.

I agree. But they'll go with Tyrod. For now.

I don't agree the Bills are tanking. That's just lazy and stupid.

Neither will Peterman. Throwing an inexperienced guy to the wolves behind a struggling OL with questionable WR's is not the answer. We're all frustrated with Tyrod but don't confuse different with better.

We simply don't have the talent to win this year.

I don't think anyone is saying the Peterman starting will translate to more wins this year, at least that's not what I'm saying. I just want to see what this guy has, if anything.

I think it could. But at least you see what he's got before spending/forcing a high 1st rounder on a QB next year.

Ok but this is not a good situation for him yet- in fact, it's a situation that could ruin him. Let him play mop up duty when NE has a 30 pt lead and pulls their starters, or hand off the ball to kill the clock. He needs more time and more weapons to be effective.

I agree, it could ruin him. Or it might not. There's no perfect situation for a young QB to walk into. Even with the best O-line in football, a young QB is going to get hit and get hit hard. If getting hit changes him when he's 21, why wouldn't it change him when he's 23. If Edwards wasn't ruined by the Cardinals, it would have been a different team the next week or the next month or the next year. At some point you just have to hope you didn't draft a b****, and there's really only 1 way to find out.
