So far I see very little creativity in this offense. It's very basic and mundane. No reverses, jet sweeps, read options, and how many shots have they taken down field? This offense is boring and predictable. Who's to blame? I respect Dennison's resume but we aren't working with Peyton Manning here and we don't have elite receivers. It's time to embrace our identity and adapt to our talent which is which is the run game with a running quarterback but let's get creative for crying out loud. The shovel pass option should be a staple in our offense considering the talent we have at running back and tight end. When used at the perfect time it has shown amazing results. I first saw Matt Canada use it with Nate Peterman at Pitt and used it to beat Clemson. It has found its way to the NFL and Andy Reid is having great success and I think I saw the Packers use it with good success. I'm tired of a boring offense. If we're going to be bad on offense can we at least make it entertaining?

Re: I want to see the shovel pass!
Oh good. Maybe we can coax Bernie Kosar out of retirement after Von Miller murders both Tyrod and Pete Naterman on Sunday.

Re: I want to see the shovel pass!
Do not criticize Dennison. Everything is Tyrod's fault because he's the worst QB in the game. Our offense would be better than it was last year (when we were a top 10 unit on a per-play & per-drive basis) if not for one man named Tyrod Taylor (the only variable since last season in fact).
In fact, look at how well Trevor Siemien and the Denver Broncos have been playing this year. It was the tutelage of Mr Dennison last year that is allowing them to flourish now.Last edited by Mouldsie; 09-19-2017, 10:33 PM.

Re: I want to see the shovel pass!
Also I didn't care for how conservative and predictable the offense got when we had the lead against the Jets. We almost let them back into that game. Need to keep the pedal to the metal until the clock hits zero. Need more creativity, aggressiveness, and intensity.Last edited by BillsFanCupp38; 09-20-2017, 02:12 AM.Jeremy Cupp

Re: I want to see the shovel pass!
I'd was calling for a shovel pass this past Sunday too. Unfortunately, this team doesn't even want to run the risk of trying something as daring as a play-action pass, so I doubt we'll see it.
With Taylor's skillset, they would probably be better off running the option offense than what they're currently doing."Miami played pretty damn good today and still got their ass kicked."

Re: I want to see the shovel pass!
Kyle Shanahan Effect: Per PFF, Carlos Hyde is averaging 3.90 yards before first contact. That's by far most among qualified running backs.

Done it in tough matchups against CAR and SEA too. "Coaching doesn't matter" though. https://t.co/aUMJc36TTD

Re: I want to see the shovel pass!
I want a total misdirection offense.
3 wide two deep one crossing with the TE breaking off the block. Get the defense thinking pass. THEN surprise them with a dump off to the RB for 1 yard.
Go 4 wide all post patterns with the slot WR hooking. Pump fake, scramble and dump a 2 yarder to the TE.
2 TE power formation then bootleg for 2 yards.
do this all game until you have the defense where they want them. THEN launch a 30 plus yarder at the end... BOOM game won.
