All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

The NFL has a lot of issues going against it when it comes to keeping viewers. Lack of interest from younger fans, terrible referees, concussions, too many boring games, one dominant team, etc. To intentionally give more viewers another reason not to watch was just bad business. Anyone claiming the protests have nothing to do with dropping ratings is just ignorant. I don't know if they are the number one reason but they are no doubt a contributor!
With it getting easier to easier to stream live tv now, especially sports. That cannot help. I haven't had cable in over a year and live out of the area and watch every Bills game. And It's becoming more and more popular for younger people to no get cable.
Fake.
Actually it is up, considerably too.
Could just be kneeling curiosity, but every news source I've listened to says otherwise.
Depends on how the information is packaged and presented to the public for consumption, just like anything. Overall for the season the ratings are lower than previous years. Some specific programming, like the Sunday night games, are consistently lower. There was, however, a slight up-tick in viewership this past week, most likely because of the protests. Hell, my wife even tuned in and she's been protesting the NFL for 30 years.

This is a measurement of nationally televised games, it doesn't include regional games. If you include regional games the ratings were up this past week.
With ratings dropping, the ad money goes down, then the TV contract money goes down, then the salary cap goes down...right? With a new CBA looming in the not too distant future, it'll be really interesting to see what happens. It's possible that the players are going to want more money, when they have directly been the cause of a significant drop in NFL earnings.
