Will he? Will it end this season, or next?

He better- if not this year then next. The tAdam is already ahead of where most of us thought it was going to be and he should get a huge influx of talent with all the early draft picks.

And he may have made buffalo a more appealing spot for veteran free agents if he brings this team to the playoffs this year...

Still a big "if"- but yeah, I agree.

Yes, but not in 2017.

Yes, but not in 2017.

He will but it's a long term build. He'll take the Bills there more than once, I'm guessing.

Yes, but not in 2017.
My thoughts on this were the same before last week. I'm now mulling it over. I will let you know in 4 weeks.

Sean McDermott is my hero. I am really excited to see what he does to this team when we play the Pats.

The Bills have a chance at being the 2016 Miami Dolphins. Everything is breaking right, they just need to keep coming out on top in close games.

Yes, But not this year. I see 2018 or 2019 as most likely

I believe so, maybe not this year, but you never know.

Better not be until 2019. We are winning now with lack of talent at wr, lb, ol...

Yes, but for your sake let's hope he waits until we can cheat in Week 17 to knock the Patriots out of the wild card.

This year maybe.

I feel pretty good about this organization for once. The real show starts next year and I think it will be worth it, for once. Don't know if they're going to be a genuine contender yet, QB is what it is, but I believe, for once, we're actually getting somewhere without an obvious ceiling, and that's hopeful, for once.

In a word, "Yes.", I do believe McDermott ends the playoff drought.

It's a nice start, but if they **** the bed against the Bengals, it becomes a foregone conclusion.

I think you’re going to see the Bills be a consistent 10-11 win team starting next year. Can’t wait!

He will be fired if he doesn't get this team to the playoffs no layer than next season.

Nah, He will get a third season unless they seriously regress next season. No one can expect playoffs with a rookie QB or Peterman.

Rex got fired for going .500. It will be interesting to see if McDermott gets treated the same. I have a feeling the Bills marketing guys will try to give McD this year as a free year and blame Whaley for everything. Clock starts in 2018 will be John Murphy and Sal's battle cry!

Nope.

This team has two paths ahead of it....

A. Team stays its middling self, doesn't realize the QB isn't good enough to get them to the next level and next year it's more of the same.

or

B. Team stays its middling self, realizes that the QB is holding them down from reaching the next level and does what it can to replace him for next year. Next year is a rebuilding year and hoping they got the new QB choice right.

Which leads into a third year of either finally replacing the QB or hoping the guy you got the prior year develops.

Keeping that guy behind center this year did nothing but hold this team back from progressing and everyone better hope that he doesn't put up another similar season to keep his job for another lame duck year.
