    Alex Smith

KC would be wise to keep him but probably won't after spending so much on Mahomes.

Drafting another QB to develop with Peterman and signing Smith doesn't seem like a bad idea now. 15 TD's and zero INT's. He looked great last night as the KC secondary got torched and wasted his winning effort.

Something to consider. Tons better idea than keeping TT.

I used to think Smith was pretty average - but - with time and experience he's become a solid NFL starter.

Depends on how the rest of the season goes. I think they'd be crazy to dump him.

I was all on the Alex Smith train when he was in SF. He took a little longer to develop. Certainly helped playing for Reid. Built his confidence.

Didn't he come out the season the Derek Carr's older brother was drafted?

I'd take Smith in a heartbeat. But I think he benefits from strong coaches on the sidelines more than many.

Was it 2 or 3 seasons ago that he went the entire season without throwing a TD to any of his WRs?

          LOL. I remember this well:

Chiefs complete season with no wide receiver touchdown catches

No, David carr was drafted number 1 overall in 2002

alex smith number 1 overall in 2004...... and Aaron Rodgers somewhere in the 20s that same year....
            I came.

I was remembering Joey Harrington. Sorry.

2004 was the Eli, Big Ben, Rivers year though. (AKA the JP Losman year)

              Smith and Rodgers were 2005.

We should send KC a 3rd for Mahomes

I think Smith is going to get 'Kap'ped again, like he did in San Fran.

Yeah I was hoping we could have got him so screw KC.

The Mike Williams draft. The Bills were 1 point (a 25-24 victory over Carolina) away from getting Julius Peppers.

Another famous swing and miss by Tom Donahoe.

He was so bad in Buffalo he was never hired again by and NFL team.

But old Ralph thought he was the bomb back in the day.
