    Zach Miller

They're saying nevermind his career his leg may have to be amputated. He damaged the artery. Crazy.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

That was sickening to see. Hope he can keep his leg.

Praying for the guy. I've always liked him. Blue Collar type.

I saw that, unfortunately, and it's sickening to watch.

I hope and wish everything turns out well and that they don't have to amputate anything.

I understand the surgery went well. Given his age, it might still be a little too much to expect him to have a productive career post recovery.

If I were him, even if I recovered 100% I don't know if I'd want to play football again.

If I'm him i'm happy I still have both of my legs and I walk off into the sunset instead of being pushed in a wheel chair. No game/job is worth risking your ability to walk. I'm sure he'll get a nice settlement, which he should, and he seems like the type that would make a good position coach.
