It looks like the vast majority of Panther fans do NOT like the deal and think their GM is incompetent.

The only positives for the trade are:

(a) KB gained too much weight in the off-season and despite his size plays "small".

(b) KB and Funchess were redundant and the Panthers needed more WR speed on the field.

(c) Newton's best year was in 2015 when KB was injured all season so KB is NOT really a difference maker.

(d) KB would have wanted too much money coming off his rookie contract to fit under the Panther's salary cap.

All reasons they let him go. He's going to have to prove himself all over again. Few players land on their second team and produce like what made them known on their first. We'll see.

There is your Combine comparison.

I don't know how much of this is sour grapes, but from all the games and highlights I ever saw, Benjamin has a big catch radius and doesn't play small.

Anybody that isn't happy and excited about this trade is ******ed.

Panthers fans are idiots. Seriously. I have a few on my facebook (not sure why), and their football knowledge is low, as well as their IQ

James Hardy's combine numbers were better than Benjamin's, across the board! Not what I would have expected.

I could NOT find Hardy's 40 Combine time.

Maybe he did NOT run it?

So Hardy was taller, faster, stronger and more agile than Kelvin at the Combine.

Hardy only went to Indiana whereas Kelvin was part of that Championship team at FSU.

Hardy really messed up his life off the field.

Hardy couldn't run routes coming into the league, had a plethora of personal issues and got his knee shredded.

He was a monster at Indiana but he was literally just running go routes againat B1G DB's. Which works vs the majority of the conference save OSU and MSU depending on the year.
