All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Beane: Benjamin to be X receiver, Zay to Z receiver
Beane: Benjamin to be X receiver, Zay to Z receiver
GM Brandon Beane on WGR this morning.
Benjamin will play the X WR spot, or split-end, against the weak side of the defensive formation and Zay will move to the Z receiver, or flanker, against the strong side.
I would assume this means Thompson will function out of the slot.

Re: Beane: Benjamin to be X receiver, Zay to Z receiver
One route I'd like to see added to the Buffalo passing attack that I haven't seen much of is the back shoulder throw in the intermediate to deep territory.
Let the CB take in the inside position on the deep route because Taylor can put the ball on the outside shoulder where only Benjamin has a shot to make a play. If teams aren't going to respect Benjamin deep, and they won't, then punish them in man coverage by throwing to his size and use the sideline as a weapon.
We didn't bring Benjamin in to be a deep threat or big play guy, we brought him in to be a different part of our passing attack.

Tyrod generally puts that ball safely out of the field of play.
Re: Beane: Benjamin to be X receiver, Zay to Z receiver
Matthews is the more veteran and productive receiver and will be the starter in the slot. I think Zay takes that spot next year and they let Matthews walk. But I’d rather have Thompson at the Z with Zay as the 4th WR.
Only needs to hit it a couple of times. Teams may adjust to a zone coverage approach which should open up the slant routes where Benjamin can really hurt a team.

Taylor isn't accurate enough to throw the back shoulder with any consistency, IMO. It's a TON easier to lead a guy, even when he's 'covered', than hit a back shoulder.

It's crazy to think though
We replaced Watkins and Woods with Zay, Thompson, Mathews, and Benjamin
Then replaced Darby and Gilmore with Gaines and white, along with getting 2 elite safeties to help out
All along getting 2 1sts and 2 2nds
I truly believe we got better
Not here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinions

I do too. Beane is winning me over pretty quickly. I heard he was the brains behind the Panthers a few years ago back before we signed him, I wrote it off as nonsense, but now it's starting to look a bit true to me at this point.
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
