Well I am sure we can lock Kyle on this one. So I will allow two picks here.

I went with Kyle and the Keg but as far as I'm concerned it's a toss up between him and Fat Pat.

Tim Anderson gets honorable mention.

Why? Because when he played, social media was in its' infancy and boards like this had a lot more users. Not surprisingly, things got pretty intense, especially when one person criticized a coach or player that had a lot of fans. But Tim Anderson was BZ's great unifer because everyone universally agreed that he sucked. He was good for knocking down a pass or two with those big drumstick arms but otherwise useless, and everyone knew it. It was the one thing we didn't argue about.

Pat Williams joined the Bills in 1997 (http://www.nfl.com/player/patwilliams/2503712/profile), and played an important role on both our late '90s playoff teams. Was he an outstanding NT? Absolutely! Was he a "playoff drought" player? No he wasn't, at least not from where I sit.

If I had considered him a playoff drought player, he and Kyle Williams would have been my two picks.

I loved all of these guys. Really a shame that Ted Washington and Sam Adams never got to play on the team at that same time, given their physiques.

Kyle FTW ... retrospectively, he would be a Top 5 pick from the 2006 draft

Now what about ole Leif Larsen? ... drafted 5 spots before Tom Brady ... everyone got a boner because Leif rep'ed 225lbs 45 times ... Brady's GOAT - Leif's a zero, but the combine is so damn important

A zero? He became a professional boxer with a 9-0 record and 8 KO's.

That's why the pole says 99-04 not including his playoff years.

That's why the pole says 99-04 not including his playoff years.

The Bills' last playoff win was in December 1995 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_bills#Playoffs). Our current drought of failing to win playoff games began in 1996. Bruce Smith played (http://www.nfl.com/player/brucesmith/2503004/profile) for the first four years of this current playoff win drought. Jim Kelly played for a year (http://www.nfl.com/player/jimkelly/2501579/profile) of it. Andre Reed played for four years (http://www.nfl.com/player/andrereed/2502607/profile) of it.

But if you were to ask me who were the best players during the drought of playoff wins, I wouldn't start mentioning names like Bruce Smith, Jim Kelly, or Andre Reed. Why not? Because those guys actually won postseason games. They were Super Bowl players, whose careers happened to extend into the stage where we stopped winning playoff games. Likewise, I would argue that players such as Eric Moulds, Ruben Brown, and Pat Williams are guys who actually made the playoffs--they are playoff players--whose careers happened to extend into the beginning of the playoff drought.
