Orchard Park, N.Y. -- It's been over a week since the Buffalo Bills (http://newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills) traded for Kelvin Benjamin, and Tyrod Taylor still can't help but smile when talking about him.

One look at Benjamin and it's easy to see why. The 6-foot-5 wide receiver is unlike anyone Taylor has thrown to during his time in Buffalo. He's not the fastest player, but he's dominant at the catch point and in the red zone.
"It's definitely big to get him," Taylor said. "He's a talented receiver and a big target for sure. He just has to continue to keep learning the playbook and the things that we're doing here. We have to find ways to give him opportunities to make plays."
Benjamin spent the weekend in Buffalo with wide receivers coach Phil McGeoghan, trying to learn as much of the playbook as possible before his Bills debut against the Saints in Week 10. He won't possess an in depth knowledge of the offense when the Bills play the Saints, but his size alone makes him a player who can make an impact right away. Taylor will need to develop timing with Benjamin, but he also has to get used to trusting Benjamin to make plays on passes Taylor might not even attempt to other receivers.
"If you look at the plays he's made over his career, he's definitely made a bunch of contested throws," Taylor said. "You just have to give him a chance in those opportunities when he's one-on-one with a DB. More times than likely he's going to have the size advantage. We've talked to try to get on the same page and it's going to to take reps, but just giving him the chance. It's his ball or nobody's ball."
Benjamin was instantly impressed with his new quarterback's work ethic. He knows they won't instantly be on the same page, but he thinks their skill sets match up nicely.
"There's going to be adjustments," Benjamin said. "We're football players, that's why we have to just keep working it, keep working it, keep catching passes, keep throwing it and catching passes from each other. Tyrod has a great deep ball, he's got great balls, good, catchable balls and I'll be there to catch them."
The addition of Benjamin shows Bills management believes this team can make a run. It's the first time since the new regime got to town that they made a clear effort to make the receivers around Taylor better. The message the move sent wasn't lost on Taylor.
"Some of the stuff that we preached from day one," Taylor said. "I think the outside perception is definitely one thing but from the inside out we believe that this team is capable of being one of the best Bills teams. We have to go out there and prove it, but them making the move as far as going to get Benjamin, helping out our offense, helping out the wide receiver room and just adding another playmaker to this team, it definitely shows that they're serious about winning."

No Tyrod.

Quarterbacking 101: The quarterback makes the throws. The receiver catches them.

uh...this getting on the same page may take a while.
