Taylor will make $14.5 million in cash this season with $7 million in an up-front signing bonus and $7.5 million in salary while carrying a team-friendly salary cap hit of $9.7 million.
will make $16 million in 2018 before hitting free agency in 2019 when the remaining three years of the contract void.

So, who is the starter in 2018 ?

Highest odds on Tyrod Taylor... Outside shot for Kirk Cousins. I don't think it will be a rookie. Slight chance of Peterman.

I will go with Peterman

I think it is someone not currently on the roster.

Yeah, barring anything unusual happening the odds are probably in Tyrod's favor.

If Beane can somehow dump Taylor's deal, he will. That's a lot of cap space

Barring a win in the playoffs, I don't see Tyrod coming back.

McBeane can say the weapons were there to compete: Benjamin, Clay, Matthews and Shady.

Peterman starts next year unless they go really outside of the box and try and sign Cousins or make a move for Alex Smith.

Too early to tell. If we make the playoffs (still a long shot), I think it's a guarantee TT's the starter next year. Heck, if we finish with a winning record, despite this roster, I think TT gets the nod.

8-8 or less, then it'll depend on who's available to us in the draft or FA. But I dont think it's Peterman (he looks like a backup to me).

If we make the playoffs Tyrod, if we don't most likely someone not on this roster and would guess be a QB we draft in the 1st Round. Mason Rudolph be my early favorite.

I think they go after a young guy in the draft, but start TT in his final contract year to give the rookie a year learning the O and feeling NFL speed.

I would really like to see what the offense would look like if Peterman was in there.

I still think that will happen at some point before the end of this season. Barring, of course, a play-off run. But I don't honestly see that coming. But we'll see.

Taylor's cap hit next season is just over $18 Million, that's a pretty hefty cap hit. If Taylor had that cap hit this season he would have the 11th highest, right behind this weeks opposing QB Drew Brees, whose cap hit was $19 Million this year. A few QB's who had $18 Million hits this year are Ben Roethlisberger, Sam Bradford and Phillip Rivers.

Alex Smith

If Whaley were still GM he'd end up giving KC their first back, along with ours in '18 and '19, plus our extra 2nd and 3rd in '18 to swing that deal.

Sam Bradford and Kirk Cousins are UFA's next season. I don't think I'd want to deal with Cousins, but I'd take Sam Bradford on the Bills any day.

Only way we see him is if we are out of the playoffs or TT is injured. Don't want either to happen. Maybe if we end up having a 40 -0 lead against a team but we know that isn't happening either with our qb.

Any day but Sunday, when Bradford always seems to get injured, except when he was in college & then it was Saturday. McDermott wants players who can actually get on the field Sundays.

I agree. May kick the tires on Alex Smith, who would be a major upgrade over TT.

TT is popular in the locker room today but if they fade down the stretch, he makes it easy for the Bills to move on.

Should have put Peterman in at the end of the Jets game.

It's up in the air. If Tyrod shows improvement as a passer they should bring him back. Since there is no reason to believe that will happen I think it's Peterman or their #1 draft pick.

When the Jets backed off and let us score 2 td? They made TT look like Brady. I wanted to see him too but if he had performed well I don't think we could of drawn any conclusions from it.
