All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

He can't come out and publicly admit that Tyrod is a bum or trading Dareus has affected the defense because it would be throwing the towel in on the season to the fanbase. Fans might realize it without him saying it, but him saying it makes it official. It would likely cost him his job if he was already throwing the season with 7 games to play.
He also cannot say it because it would cause a rift between him and the GM. And good luck getting anything to ever work if those two are at odds against each other.

How would naming Peterman the starter be quitting on the season to the fan base? Did you not hear them cheering him on?
SMcD is turning out to be just another coach who won't make the right but tough decision.
You're 5-4 and still in the drivers seat for the final wild card spot with the current QB.
You bench the current QB who has you in that spot and it looks really bad, especially if Peterman goes out and throws 4 INTs against the Chargers.

Or Peterman goes out against the Chargers and throws 4tds and 300 yards and McD looks like a freakin genius, wins over the fans, and take command of the locker room.
Right now SMcD is playing not to lose by starting Taylor. We all know how that works out. Besides after hearing the fans cheer for Peterman yesterday, I don't think they are behind TT as much as you say.
On the Dareus issue - not having him hurts. But, you can't say it's all on his absence, either. And, what's a coach going to do, say "yeah we really ****ed that one up, oh well there's always next year..."? Of course he lied. Of course Dareus could have helped yesterday. That doesn't make McBeane an idiot, either.
KW looked fast off the ball, got decent penetration, recognized plays very quickly. He was also a half step too slow to the ball carrier on several cutbacks and at least one screen to Kamara. Thornton got absolutely killed. 91 was a huge problem. Washington seemed to keep his leverage a little more, not get entirely blown off the ball as often, but was pretty easily set up and moved and a non factor. I saw our weakside backer taken out of plays consistently to that side. Humber? Maybe milano for a play or two, not sure.
It was a bad showing that turned ugly because of the lack of offensive production. An offense that can keep the ball for 35, 38 minutes can mask what we put on display yesterday. But, we had the exact opposite. It was like matter and anti-matter combining, and it was spectacular.
Baltimore dropped Tony Banks in favor of Trent Dilfer after starting out 5-1 before losing 2 in a row.
San Francisco plugged Kap in over Alex Smith after he led the Niners to a 6-2-1 record.
Pete Carroll, with a rebuilt defense and running game being the real strengths of the team, passed over the expensive vet free agent in favor of a rookie.
It all turned out OK for those teams.
I get that it might not be the best timing to make a switch, but IMO "still in the playoff race" doesn't need to be a factor.
