Somewhere on the NFL landscape, things are heating up not only on the practice field, but at the negotiating table.
This year, Jaguars quarterback Byron Leftwich is one of five first-round draft choices still waiting to come to terms on a contract. The holdout is at 10 days, two short of the rookie team record of 12 by Fernando Bryant in 1999. Leftwich, the No.7 overall draft choice, is the only unsigned Top10 pick.
