AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Auburn backup linebacker Lemarcus Rowell, arrested last month on four misdemeanor charges, is transferring to a junior college, coach Tommy Tuberville said.
Rowell, 20, was charged with speeding, driving under the influence, marijuana possession and carrying a pistol without a permit on July 6 in Opelika, police said.
Tuberville suspended Rowell indefinitely the following day.
The former Parade All-American played in 12 games as a freshman in 2002, totaling 21 tackles.
Tuberville also said wide receiver Joe Walkins has transferred to Illinois State while redshirt freshman defensive back Cavari Dailey has also decided to transfer.
