Rookie could play Saturday in Lions' exhibition opener
DETROIT -- Charles Rogers gave the fans a little show -- with more to come. And soon, he hopes.
Rogers, the Lions' rookie receiver, was one of the stars of Sunday's practice at Ford Field, and he made little more than a cameo appearance. Rogers has been held out of drills since suffering a dislocated pinkie on his left hand in practice Tuesday.
If all goes according to plan, Rogers will resume practice by midweek and get some playing time in the first exhibition game against Pittsburgh on Saturday at Ford Field.
Meanwhile, Sunday's appearance by the young receiver from Michigan State and Saginaw was mostly for show....
