The biggest change in the 49ers this year will be largely invisible to the public.
Oh, sure, the Dennis Erickson 49ers will throw a few more passes downfield than the Steve Mariucci 49ers and will play more aggressively overall, but it's not the X's and O's that separate the former and present coaches as much as it is their personalities.
Mariucci never met a microphone or a camera he didn't like. He was as bubbly as a game show host. All Erickson wants to do is coach the team. His idea of a good time is a few beers with the boys after a round of golf. ...
