    Bryson adds pads, 'feels good'

Running back is making progress in his comeback
ALLEN PARK -- Shawn Bryson is taking a few slow steps to reach a point where he can show the Lions that he still has the speed to help them at running back.

The latest stage -- wearing full pads for the first time in almost 10 months -- is a welcome sign of progress for Bryson. He took part in his first full practice of training camp Monday morning after being moved from the physically-unable-to-perform list and added to the active roster.

Bryson was held out of some drills, but for a start, he was satisfied.

"It feels good," Bryson said. "I haven't put the pads on since October. It feels good to be running around a little bit."
