Butch Davis is keeping everyone in suspense about who will start at quarterback Saturday night in Tennessee, but Tim Couch said yesterday he wouldn't be surprised if Kelly Holcomb gets the nod.
"I'm sure that's the way it's going to go," Couch said. "Whoever starts this game, the other guy will start the next week. We'll probably rotate it like that and see how it goes. I'm sure they'll give both guys their fair shot and let it play out."
Couch said it wouldn't bother him if Holcomb starts, even though it's the first preseason game.
"I want to [start], but I'm not going to worry about it," he said. "No decision has been made yet as to who's going to start the regular season. No matter when I get my chance, I've got to go in and make the most of it."
