HOUSTON - The main event took place during one-on-one coverage drills Wednesday, interrupting a period during which one Houston Texans receiver after another extricated himself from man-to-man coverage offered by Denver Broncos cornerbacks.
On one side stood Andre Johnson - Houston's top draft pick out of the University of Miami and the third overall selection in April.
Opposite him, Deltha O'Neal, a 2001 Pro Bowl selection.
The battle began with Johnson breaking off the line. He deked O'Neal, and in an instant, the battle was over. Denver's top cornerback was beaten by five yards as the rookie hauled in the easy touchdown pass.
