BETHELEM, Pa. (AP) -- A.J. Feeley figures it'll be a successful year if he gets more playing time in the preseason.
The third-year quarterback emerged last season, leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a 4-1 record after injuries sidelined Donovan McNabb and Koy Detmer. But Feeley understands his role is the No. 3 quarterback on a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
``I definitely know my role and I'm learning as much as I possibly can,'' Feeley said. ``I don't want to be thrust into a position where I have to play ... so for right now, this is a good situation.''
